Simon Eaton
Brathay 10in10 Athlete

I’m Simon Eaton from Cleveleys, were I live with my wife Sue, daughter Emily, and two lively labradors. 55 years young and passionate about running – both on the road and in the Lakeland Fells. Endurance events and raising money for charity has very much become part of my life for over 30 years – with over 50 marathons completed, including the amazing experience of the Brathay 10in10 in 2024.
During my 10 days at Brathay I witnessed just what Brathay Trust is all about and it was a privilege to raise money for such an amazing cause.
I’m always driven to help those less fortunate than myself and believe in giving back to the community. As a trustee of MENCAP, and having a daughter with learning difficulties and a rare genetic condition Sotos, supporting charitable causes is in my DNA. I truly appreciate the amazing support and opportunities charities provide to individuals, their families and the wider community. Brathay Trust is another excellent example of just this, hence why I want to help those young people in need and return to complete the 10in10 again in 2027.
As I begin my hard training schedule to get back to full fitness after a running accident on Ben Nevis in June 2025, could I ask for your kind support in sponsoring me to help Brathay Trust continue their amazing work.
