Stuart Kibble
Brathay 10in10 Athlete

I’m Stuart Kibble from Cardiff, and in 2027 I’ll be taking on my fourth Brathay 10in10 challenge.
The Brathay 10in10 has become a huge part of my life. Since first taking on the challenge in 2024, it has tested me physically, mentally and emotionally in ways that few other experiences can. It is far more than just running ten marathons in ten consecutive days. It’s about resilience, determination, teamwork and discovering what you’re capable of when things get tough.
My first experience of the event in 2024 didn’t go to plan. An injury forced me to stop before reaching the finish, which was incredibly difficult after months of preparation and commitment. However, that setback only strengthened my determination to return. Since then, I have successfully completed the challenge twice, and every finish line has reinforced why this event is so special.
Running has become a passion of mine over the years. To date, I have completed 46 marathons, along with countless half marathons and endurance events. One of my proudest recent achievements was completing the Two Tunnels 50K Ultra Marathon. Every race has presented its own challenges, but each one has taught me valuable lessons about perseverance, resilience and the power of consistent effort.
Away from running, I work in Human Resources and volunteer as a youth rugby coach. Supporting and encouraging people to achieve their potential is something that has always been important to me. Whether that’s helping colleagues in my professional life or coaching young players on the rugby field, nothing is more rewarding than seeing someone gain confidence and achieve something they didn’t think was possible.
That’s why Brathay’s mission resonates so strongly with me.
The charity’s work helps young people develop confidence, resilience and the skills they need to overcome challenges and fulfil their potential. These are qualities that have been central to my own running journey, and I know how life-changing they can be.
The Brathay 10in10 represents everything I love about endurance running. It’s demanding, humbling and inspiring in equal measure. There will undoubtedly be difficult moments over those ten days, but knowing that every mile helps support young people across the UK gives every step a greater purpose.
I’m proud to be part of the Brathay 10in10 family once again and look forward to taking on the challenge in 2027.
