I'm a 47 year old living in York with my wife and 2 teenage daughters, I decided to take up cycling 4 years ago to improve my fitness and to get me out more and really enjoyed it, so started looking for more challenging rides to aim for.
My wife Joni and father-in-law Gary have both done the Brathay 10in10 running event and through supporting them I learned about the 262. So in 2019 I thought I'd give it a go! Unfortunately, due to a knee injury I had to retire after 5 laps, but I had such a great day and met so many lovely people I've decided to come back this year to finish the job off!
Brathay Trust is a fantastic charity and I'm looking forward to raising lots of money and creating as much awareness as possible!
