Day 2 - 24 October
Brathay 10in10 2020
The Lake District weather played a big part in today’s Day 2 marathon. It rained on the start line, rained down the west side of the lake, rained back up the east side of the lake and rained at the finish! Difficult conditions to run one of the UK’s most challenging marathon courses.
Strong, consistent running again from most of the team with Darren Jenness and Rachel Masser being first back in 3:28 and 3:44 respectively.
Runners, student sports therapists and support team have quickly settled into the world of COVID-10in10. Our Brathay bubble, social distancing and many other new control measures are working well and keeping everyone safe.
Now more food, more stretching and more rest….and then Day 3!
You can donate to support the huge effort all runners are making to support vulnerable children & young people here. Thank you :)
