Day 5 - 18 May
Brathay 10in10 2021
A beautiful warm sunny day in the Lake District with only a light morning shower at the south end of the lake. Running this course for 10 consecutive days is a huge challenge, but when the weather's this good, with fantastic views it helps :)
A huge achievement and strong running from everyone to reach the halfway point of this year’s Brathay 10in10.
Winning his fifth in a row Paul Mayson came home in 3:53:58 – only 21 seconds slower than yesterday. Malcolm Collins was again second, finishing in 4:01:24 and another great run from Claire Harrison to finish third in 4:04:27.
Congratulations to Patrick Norris running his 200th marathon, finishing in 4:46:10.
Tiredness is starting to affect all the runners….but Day 6 beckons….and it’s all about getting to the start line and then seeing what happens.
You can donate to support the huge effort all runners are making to support vulnerable children & young people here. Thank you :)
