Day 8 - 19 May

Brathay 10in10 2023

Another day….another marathon….and a tough day out on the course for Andy Rennie and John Jardine. But they're back, into massage and recovery, with everything focused on being on the start line for Day 9 tomorrow!

Great running conditions again today, cool and overcast in the morning, becoming much warmer in the afternoon – but running your eighth marathon over consecutive days is always going to be hard.

We saw a lot of strong, consistent running again today with all sixteen runners starting to dream of the finish line on Sunday....but well aware that there's Day 9 to complete first.

Lee Wilkinson pushed the leading pair today to record his fastest marathon of the eight - in 3.44.51....9 seconds ahead of Jon Drake who finished in 3.45.00! Paul Davies continued his winning streak, finishing his eighth marathon in 3.42.21.

It was great to see previous 10in10 runners arriving to support this year's team and looking forward to running the ASICS Windermere Marathon on Sunday.
