Ambleside 25K
Before the event
How old do I need to be to take part?
You must be 18 or over on the day of the event to take part.
When do entries close?
Entries will close at 10:00am on Wednesday 7 September 2022, or when entries reach the maximum number of 1,000, whichever comes first.
When do I receive my race number and timing chip?
Final instructions will be emailed the Wednesday before the event. You will need to collect your timing chip and race number when you register before the race. You are encouraged to register your entry on Saturday if at all possible to avoid congestion on the Sunday morning.
Can I transfer my race number to someone else?
As stated in our Terms and Conditions and as per UK AA rules and regulations, the right to participate in the event is highly individual and as such entries and race numbers are non-transferable.
Can I cancel or defer my entry and get a refund?
If participants wish to cancel their entry they need to email running@brathaychallenges.com. We are unable to offer refunds or deferrals in case of cancellation.

During the event
Where can I park?
There are multiple car parks available in Ambleside. Details of car parks will be included in the event programme.
What kit should I bring?

Is there bag storage on race day?
There will be a bag storage in Rothay Park.
What time does the race start?
Runners will assemble in Rothay Park at 10:15am for final instructions. The race will start at 10:30am. You will receive your timing chip along with your race number at registration.
Where is the course?
A detailed map of the course will be displayed at registration. The route will be flagged during the event.

What is the course time limit?
The time limit for completion of the course is 8hrs. Runners must pass the following points within the cut off times: High Park (8km) - 12:30, Chapel Stile, Great Langdale - (16km) -14:00, Finish (Rothay Park) (25km) -18:30.

Yes - thank you! We rely on volunteers to ensure the day runs smoothly and there are various roles available.

After the event
Can I get a shower after the race?
No shower facilities are available (there is a river)...
Will there be an awards ceremony?
Yes, there will be an awards ceremony. It is expected to take place between 2-3pm (based on award winner finish times).
Where do I find the race results?
A full set of results will be available shortly after the race.
