Runner information

What happens next?

The format of the event may look different from previous years due to the pandemic. We will be following UK Athletics guidelines in relation to any restrictions and distancing measures that will need to be in place.

Your race number

Race numbers will be posted out to participants. You must complete your personal details, including the medical information on the reverse of your race number. The race number must be worn unfolded and must be visible on the front of your shirt for the duration of the race.

Start times:

This year participants will be able to choose whether they would like a phased start or a mass start. Phased starts will take place between 09:45 – 10:15am. The mass start will be at 10.30am. Details on how to select your choice and book your time will be sent out in the coming weeks.

Marathon rules and regulations

When entering the Langdale Marathon all participants agreed to the event terms and conditions. We would particularly like to draw your attention to the below rules.

Unauthorised car support, bicycles, rollerblades and any other wheeled devices are not permitted on the course.

“The wearing of headphones, or similar devices, (other than those medically prescribed), is not permitted in races on any single carriageway road that is not wholly closed to traffic.”

This is a direct extract from UK Athletics’ Competition Rules 2018-20 edition. If any runner is seen failing to comply with this rule, regrettably we will have to disqualify.

The event terms and conditions can be found here including our Covid cancellation policy.
