Sam Tierney

London Marathon Runner

Hi, I'm Sam.

I've never run a marathon, and only really got into running during COVID lockdown - so this will be a first!

I'm really pleased to be doing this for Brathay Trust, who do a fantastic job helping young people that may otherwise not get the support they need.

I first encountered Brathay as a 17 year old, and the people I met and the experiences I had with them were really important for me as a young person. I've never forgotten that, and recently reconnected with Brathay to try and help them with their work.

This is especially important after COVID, when we need to do everything we can to help young people access support and positive experiences. Brathay delivers outreach and detached youth services enabling all young people to access appropriate support to help them reach their potential and make positive contributions to their own community and life.

Aside from running my first marathon this year, I'm also leading a team in a rowing event with Brathay, and using my background in the Food Sector to help them source 800 Christmas Puddings (long story!)

I would be incredibly grateful if you could donate as much as you feel comfortable.

It will help motivate me to train hard, and your money will help Brathay to continue their amazing work.

Hit that button now! Thanks Sam :)
