Appeal in Memory of Martin Campbell

Martin quickly became an integral part of our event but he will be remembered by us for much, much more than just his professional skills and experience.
His infectious enthusiasm, energy and empathy was shared with everyone he came into contact with. He was such a uniquely inspirational and positive person who will live on in the memories of so many people. We have precious memories of the many laughs and great times shared with such a fantastic person.
He came to understand Brathay’s unique approach to helping disadvantaged young people and the benefit of our projects in deprived communities. He shared our values of inspiring and supporting young people. Martin became more involved in our Brathay Running events by filming the Brathay 10in10, often as a volunteer. The daily films he produced between 2009 and 2016 really captured the essence of this running challenge & both his own and Brathay’s spirit. With his commitment and vision he shared the dreams, the highs and lows of ‘ordinary people doing extraordinary things’. Martin played a huge part in developing the Brathay Running events, helping Brathay in its mission to inspire children and young people to make positive changes that will last a lifetime. Put simply, Martin helped change many lives for the good.
With the support of Martin's family we have set up a fund in his memory. Donations from Martin's family and friends will be used to create opportunities for vulnerable and disadvantaged young people.
