The London Marathon 2021
This Sunday saw the return of the London Marathon – the first full event in the Capital since April 2019.

Over 38,000 took part, including elite athletes, wheelchair athletes and thousands of runners supporting hundreds of charities. Conditions on the course were perfect – cool and dry with some sunshine, and many regular marathon runners recorded personal best times.

Brathay was again well represented by our Gold Bond runners and other supporters running to support our work with disadvantaged children and young people. A big thank you to all runners supporting Brathay. Months of training resulted in fantastic running performances from all our team – with some running their first marathon.
The funds raised by Brathay’s runners currently stands at over £15,000 (including Gift Aid). Thank you to everyone who’s donated – your support is really appreciated. The team’s fundraising pages can be viewed here.
The funds raised by the team will provide life changing opportunities for many more young people.
