From the very beginning, when we delivered the first ASICS Windermere Marathon and Brathay 10in10 events, volunteers have made Brathay Challenge events possible. We could not deliver these distinctive running, cycling and rowing events without volunteer support. We truly appreciate all that our great volunteers do to make our events run smoothly and to make the participants' experience unforgettable.

There are opportunities to volunteer at any of the events below:

  • Christmas Pudding 10k – 8 December 2018
  • Brathay 10in10 – 9 to 19 May 2019
  • ASICS Windermere Marathon – 19 May 2019
  • Brathay 262 – 22 June 2019
  • Langdale Marathon and Half Marathon – 19 October 2019
  • Cross Bay Walk – TBC 2019
  • Rowrunner - TBC 2019

Be part of the fun as you assist participants before their event, cheer them along the course or support their celebrations at the finish!

Volunteer positions might include:

Helping with securing/sourcing event resources, preparing the course, setting up start/finish areas, packing participant goody bags or being part of our event registration team.

During the event

Managing traffic and car parking on the Brathay Hall estate, marshalling a key location on the course, supervising a refreshment station or welcoming participants over the finish line.

Dismantling the course and refreshment stations, helping with the start/finish area clear up or supporting our zero waste policy by sorting plastic bottles etc. for recycling.

You can register to volunteer here, we look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you in advance for your help! We couldn’t deliver these events without you!
